Curriculum and Classes

All the classes at Everton Heath Primary School are named after trees.

Due to the class structure of the school our curriculum is organised as a two-year cycle. Please find information regarding which topics are taught each year in the download in the panel on the side of this page.

Home Learning 

Our school believes that it is important to have a strong parent partnership and one of the ways we can foster this is through home leanring. Our Home Learning expectations are as follows:

Daily Reading    

 

Whole Book 3 times a week

(or 2-3 pages per night)

Daily High Frequency Word practice    

5 – 10 minutes daily.

Key Stage 1

Year 1/2

Minimum 10 minutes

Spellings 10 weekly

5 minutes daily

Pick and mix grid

One task per week

Lower Key Stage 2

Year 3/4

Daily Reading

Minimum of 15 minutes

Spellings 10 weekly

Times Tables (TTRS)

Minimum 15 minutes (weekly)

Upper Key Stage 2

Year 5/ 6

Minimum of 20 minutes

All home learning is going to be handed out on Friday each week and is due in on of before the Friday of the following week.
